Kung Fu Journey:
Why I Train? To continually improve and become a better version of myself each day.
What do you think of the style you train? Yuen Mo Pai is a dynamic, ever-evolving system that provides me with continuous challenges and drives me to improve and adapt to new concepts and understanding. It is direct, practical, skillful, and creative in application.
How do you perceive it to other style? I have not trained extensively in other styles, however at one time of my life early in my Yuen Mo Pai journey, I was not able to continue training as I was not near one of the CKFA branches (in another city). I tried another kung fu and found although there were few similarities it did not compare to the Yuen Mo Pai style and paled in comparison. I found once I had started training this style, I could not convert to anything else.
Would you recommend the style anyone and why?
I believe everyone should find their own path, I would recommend that people try this style and commit themselves to a year of training to get a good understanding of if it is suited to them and if they are suited to this style.
Philosophy:
What is your Kung Fu Philosophy? Keep Learning and Practicing, Be persistent and continue one step at a time.
What is your Life Philosophy? Help others where you can, share knowledge with those who need it and realise that the life journey is one of constant improvement of self and connection to others.
What do you think of your Sifu ? My Sifu is an inspiration to my training and life, his consistency, determination, credibility, integrity and example motivate me to continue to drive forward especially at times when I feel that I cannot.
